St. Patty’s Day is just around the corner! It’s so much fun shopping for holiday themed outfits.  For Valentine’s day, Jellybean and I wore similar outfits.  A fellow mom on the plane {we went on a family vacation to Mexico … much needed vaca!} comment on how cute we looked.  It totally made my day!!  The husband just shook his head, almost to say to the woman ‘please don’t encourage my wife’.  Hahaha.  And while I won’t be dressing up for St. Patrick’s Day … since I will be at work … I still want Jellybean dressed to impress!!  While I was focused on the girl clothes, I couldn’t help but poke around and check out all the cute boy St. Patty’s Day fashion out there.

Here are some of my favorite finds …

Unfortunately I won’t be purchasing those adorable sunglasses as I know Jellybean won’t leave them on for even enough time for me to snap a good photo … there’s always next year!

What St. Patty’s Day clothing is your favorite?  Any good fashion finds you care to share?

I’ve been trying to get started on the decor for the baby’s room and despite pinning a lot of cute nursery’s on Pinterest I really haven’t made much progress.  In the past when decorating I have picked the big pieces and then the small details/accents seem to fall into place and the room comes together nicely.  The problem with the nursery is the hubby and I just can’t seem to decide on any single piece of furniture so far.

About the only decisions we’ve made is to paint the walls gray (shocker I know!) and for the crib to be white.  You can probably see why we haven’t pulled the trigger on anything yet. :)   It wasn’t long after I started researching cribs that “sticker shock” set in.  While it would be nice to pretend there is no budget when it comes to our little one … I know there is.  To get us started I compiled a short list of cribs that fell on the splurge list and then found similar crib designs that would save us some moolah.

Nursery Crib Inspiration - Splurging vs Saving | Lifes's Tidbits

{1} Isabelle Iron Crib from Pottery Barn |  {2} DaVinci Jenny Lind from Amazon
{3} Emelia Sleigh Crib from RH Baby  |  {4} Stork Craft Vittoria from Amazon
{5} ducduc Oslo Crib from Land of Nod  |  {6}Babyletto Madison from Target
{7} Juliette Crib from Pottery Barn Kids  |  {8} Million Dollar Baby Ashbury from Overstock
While we still have plenty of time to decorate the nursery I am getting nervous we will never make a decision … or maybe it’s more I’m worried we will start going in one direction and then realize we should have gone another.

I can’t decide if we should splurge for the “perfect” crib or save on one we like.  I mean the baby is only in this thing for a couple years, right?  It’s not like a tween bedroom set that might last them through high school if chosen correctly.  Help please!!  Did you save or splurge on the crib?  Any recommendations on where to find the perfect crib?

Happy Decorating!

While doing “married things” {phrase coined by the husband} we ended up at The Container Store.  Clearly this is one of those places like Target or Bed Bath and Beyond, where I find things I never knew I needed but while we are there I think I really do NEED them.  I mean there is no reason we should have spent 1+ hours at The Container Store when it was sunny and 80 plus degrees outside.  But anyways, while walking up and down each aisle we ended up with quite the large cart of stuff we “needed”.

One of the many items in our cart was elfa kitchen storage.  Our condo is the first place I’ve lived where I haven’t had to use cabinets to store food.  The pantry is great and has really come in handy for storing items not eatable as well like batteries, lunch boxes, cook books and dish towels.  As a result our pantry has been pretty much over full since moving in.  We were hoping the elfa storage would expand the pantry a little bit.

Installation was very easy.  Hold the long rod up to the back of the door and mark the places where the screws go.  We went ahead and drilled the holes a little to get it started and make the screw go in easier.

We held up the rod and put two screws into the door to hold the rod in place.  Before fulling anchoring it to the door we ensured it was level.  It was so we put all the screws securely into the door, clipped on the baskets and we were done.  The great part about the baskets are they come in standard and narrow.  We purchased the narrow baskets to ensure they wouldn’t hit the shelving in the pantry.

Initially we purchased 4 baskets.  We were pleased to see there was plenty of room for 2-3 more baskets.  Back to the container store we went and purchased two additional baskets.  We are loving the new storage and the way the baskets help with organization!!

What do you think of our new expanded pantry?

Happy home improvements!
